Thank you for booking with us. Please take some time to read the notes below and contact us should you have any queries.
Our accommodation here at the Farmhouse is quite unique. Our service is Bed & Breakfast with the benefit of being organised as a private, self contained apartment. Organised over 2 floors with its own private stair the total accommodation comprises of 2 double bedrooms, one on first floor and a further double bedroom on the second floor. The private facilities consist of a bathroom and studio kitchen on the second floor and are shared by both rooms. We will therefore only let both rooms under your one booking (i.e. to one family or friends that are travelling or holidaying together) to ensure that the whole of the accommodation, bathroom and kitchenette remains for your private and exclusive use. As our guests you also have the use of a semi enclosed garden area to the south side of the house. In the event of a double room being booked as a twin room, the second bed in that room will be a single ‘folding’ hotel bed.
Bookings;
Provisional bookings remain firm for one week pending written confirmation within 7 days, accompanied with a deposit of 50% of the total tariff for up to and including 2 nights stay, for longer stays payment is required in full.
Cancellation;
In the event of a cancellation (this also includes one member of a party cancelling) we will make every effort to relet the room and return the deposit less £20 per room. Should we be unable to let the room you will be charged 2/3 of the total cost.
Please visit www.guestfirst.co.uk for holiday insurance, which I strongly advise that you take out when you book your stay with us, so that should you have to cancel you will be covered.
Arrival and departure;
Your room will be ready for you to occupy between 4 and 8 p.m. on your day of arrival. Please let us know your estimated time of arrival, so that we can make sure there is someone here to greet you. Once here you will be given a key to come and go as you please. Please vacate your room by 10 am on the day of your departure. You will be give an outside door key and room key; the outside door will be locked from 10 p.m.
Breakfast;
A continental breakfast will be placed in the fridge of your studio kitchen the day before in order that you can then take breakfast at your convenience.
Other meals;
Should your stay be for more than 1 night, the dining area and studio kitchen is for your informal use should you decide to eat in and prepare your own lunches or evening meals. Please leave the kitchen area clean as you find it, thank you.
Safety;
Parents/ Guardians must supervise their children at all times. Their safety is your responsibility especially on the farm. We are a no smoking establishment. Sorry we do not accept any pets in the house, except guide dogs.
Methods of Payment;
Cash if possible. Cheques should be made payable to R A Baylis (I can only accept cheque’s with a valid cheque guarantee card, up to the value of the guarantee e.g. £100).
Lost keys;
A replacement charge of £5 per key will be made for lost door keys.
Horses;
For those travelling with their horses and riding on the moor, we have 2 secure horse paddocks totaling 6 acres for grazing and ample parking for a horse box.
Dogs;
Permitted by arrangement.
